In Destiny it tends to push light back and insulate Guardians feet from the overwhelming power of the Traveler. Because of this, weapon discharge at close ranges tends to be completely fatal as most of our ammunition is depleted uranium and without the Travelers light all Guardians are actually immunocompromised(sp?) reanimated corpses. Depleted uranium renders us fish food.
