I love people that don't know about science.
Mercury is barren, but has 0 atmosphere.
Venus is gassy and well insulated by heavy cloud layers and supressive forces.
Therefore Mercury can kinda ventilate overnight, but Venus doesn't, containing heat and getting more and more hot.
