Assuming that you're right, what does this knowledge gain you? How does knowing that there are maps on the disc also make you privy to an accurate picture of Bungie's intent for placing them there? If Bungie wanted to keep their downloads smaller by putting empty maps on you disc instead, do they need your permission or maybe some sort of long-winded disclaimer that assumes that you'll patently and immediately violate every single end user agreement you agreed to and data mine their content on a hacked console? If "they got away with it", what do you intend to do to rectify the situation apart from complaining in a forum that you know "they" don't read? When a company makes a product, should they release that product after an extended survey of their customer base that determines the least offensive format in which to release the product?
Apologies for dumping on you. I see these posts all the time and it blows my mind that no one ever seems to have considered any alternatives for what they've found. I think you just like to feel like a victim entitled to something free. I'm forced to admit though that it's a pretty successful strategy these days as long as you never think critically about what you're doing or let your ego take a backseat to logic and reason.
