Venus is hotter than mercury. Go look it up. Basically Venus is a worst case scenario for global warming. The atmosphere retains heat. Where as mercury has little to no heat retention due to lack of atmosphere. Yes mercury is closer to the sun. Also go play crucible there is a map on mercury.
