You do realize that the 500 Mill was not just for game development right? That it was for advertizing and many other things. So your insult is a fail.
They are not going to change the game to how you want, they are not going to make the story be how you want, they are not going to add in more cutscenes because you want ever.

Destiny was/is a financial success. Bungie will stay the course to please the majority of the three billion players playing six gazillion hours every day. For the ones who enjoy a deeper connection with their games, a good story, interesting character development, I'd say "Go play something else."
