the question is ... do you run around the map and enjoy close/mid range combat, or do you use strategy and fight others in mostly mid/long range? TLW will destroy a Thorn up close, could go either way in the mid range fights, and Thorn will destroy TLW at long ranges. you should be using a sniper with TLW and a shotgun or fusion rifle with the Thorn. so really you should ask yourself how do you like to play crucible and pick the right gun from there.
