This is dumbest thing i've seen written on here. Have you played CoD or Halo at all? I absolutely hate CoD but its a fact that every single one of them has a better story than destiny, same with Halo.

ROFL, "its a FACT that my OPINION is true". Oh the irony of calling my post dumb. Look up the honest trailer for call of duty on youtube. The stories are basically a copy/paste of each other. BTW, last time I checked, all the dlcs for those games have been essentially just multiplayer maps right? Doesn't seem like they were too focused on giving more story content while they were too busy making you pay to play in a slightly different environment. Inb4 - " there are exceptions though!" Great. How many games does CoD have? Halo? They had a LOT of refining to do before they got to where it is now. Destiny is still in its infancy.

Did I not say that I hate CoD? I haven't even touched one since the first modern warfare, i dont recall mentioning anything about the dlc's either. I agree with everything you just said about CoD, they're all blatant copy pastes of the previous game. But if you think destiny's lame ass IN GAME narrative is even close to either of those games then you have horrible taste. "Destiny is still in its infancy" this seems to be the only defense you rabid defenders of all things destiny can ever cough up.

ROFL Also, did you even read the first sentence of my OP? I do think destiny's story presentation was bad. I'm not defending it, or even saying it was good (or better than other games for that matter). I'm defending the idea that maybe they intentionally didn't focus on the story, and did on other things. I'm also defending the idea that it even makes a certain amount of sense to focus more on gameplay and multiplayer/coop as a whole, rather than an expertly presented story. They took that gamble on the community and lost apparently. But like I said, it wasn't without precedent. Just don't make the mistake of believing that they made story their highest priority and then failed miserably. Its like going to a Chinese buffet and saying, "man this pizza that they have sucks, I hate this place" when that's obviously not their focus
