Great vid!
One question though, for anyone who actually is able to use the grimoir... From the story missions in the game I came to believe that crota was defeated, and that's why we were stopping the hive from reviving him... This vid, I assume taken from the cards, says that we abandoned the moon because we weren't able to defeat him.
So... Was he killed/banished or not? If so, who did it?

I've heard from the cards that Crota wiped out thousands of guardians on the moon with over soul so that's why the moon was abandoned

Here is the story: The collapse- Hive takes the moon! A few centuries later- The last city launch an massive attack to retake the moon (involving several thousand guardians) but I fails and the city suffers the greatest loss ever making the moon a forbidden place! A unknown time later- Eris and her fire team goes to the moon and tries to kill Crota as revenge for the thousands of guardians who fell, they almost succeed but the Hive manage to capture Crotas soul making it possible to resurrect Crota! Present time- Eris -blam!-s you in the shower in the tower making you her bitch, so now you have to do a lot of shit because she's more alpha and she told you to! The end

So did the eris strike team kill him/banish him but not kill him? Obviously, someone had to do one of those or else why would the hive be "resurrecting his soul"...

They killed his physical body but not his soul

They killed his shadow there is no physical manifestation of crota in our world just a shadow of the being in crotas end you go to the hives world (loading seen when you teleport after thralls is to a hive netherrealm likey one of the lowest realms as crota was but a minor god and its in this realm that our fireteams are able to kill him

So is this why they say the guardians failed to defeat him? It makes a little bit more sense when you pit it that way, but it sounds like they weren't able to best him, and that's why the moon was abandoned. If this is the case however, it makes me wonder... So they beat his shadow at great cost, then gave up after taking out the hive leader? Why? Wouldn't that just be saying, "well, those guardians died in vain."

After you banish crota´s soul the only thing left to do is go deep into the hellmouth and finish him in his spiritual world, thats basically what you do in crota´s end. But the only thing i dont understand is why crota killed thousands of guardians and then only six are necessary to kill him.

Its because in his nether world he is mortal and can be killed when crota went against the thousands of praxic disciples he was an immortal shadow summoned by the hive through veeeery dark rituals and sacrifices

It depends, but a strike team can be more effective than an army in certain situations. Six Gaurdians are able to spearhead into the Hellmouth and hit hard, while a large group would require a lot of coordination and would probably cause more problems than fix them.

I was wondering this same thing after doing today's daily lol. Didn't we just kill the wakeners and destroy his soul?
