About a year before launch, they let go of the main writer or he walked out, I am not sure which. A new writer was brought in to create the Grimoire. He created it off the story the main writer worked on, supposedly. That 15 minute video is the culmination of hundreds of hours spent reading, remembering, and piecing together the story from the Grimoire. I love a good puzzle, but in a video game i want the story delivered in a narrative like we saw in that video. Even in a puzzle game like Portal or Portal 2, i want a story to follow inbetween the puzzles.
