The only problem is that MMOs have atleast half bit stories. They may not be very good but for the most part they are complete. Destiny's problem is that 95% of the story is in grimoire cards which aren't even included in the damn game. And the story that they do have is so segmented and disparate from one another that it is hard to make out what the story was supposed to be in the first place.

Edited by O8C7: 2/5/2015 8:17:12 PMThe thing is we are in the time just after the collapse. In the game your given all the info of the world around you (yes I know dinkledik acts like we know a ton of shit) but then all the stuff we experience in game (weapon, places, enemies) are all broken down more in the grimiore once we claim them. I understand it could be in game but I feel like Bungie wanted to cut the reading from npcs out (being a console game), I always dreaded all the reading from all the npcs but now you do kinda miss it. It was just a innovative thing to try that failed to most the community but I disagree with any comment about the story being broken. We are creating and playing it, the game hasn't been out for 6 months yet. Edit: guild wars 2 releases their story in sections (although there is more to do and more rewards for many other "in-between" activities) and it was a very nice effect for keeping gameplay and longevity of players.
