So I was thinking this over when I was reading through the grimiore for exotic guns and it came across me. The point of this game is to become legend so why can't we wield a gun just for us. I'm thinking a sort of bounty quest where you have to accomplish difficult tasks in order to build YOUR gun.
* Collect Bounty - I'm not sure what the requirements would be to obtain the bounty but you'd have to be at least level 20.
* Speak to the gunsmith - This is where your journey begins. You make your way to the gunsmith in the tower and you have to buy blueprints for a weapon type (Handcannon, AR, Shotgun, Rocket Launcher, etc.)
* Gather parts - You'll have to dismantle guns of the same type as the blueprint in order to obtain parts for it. I'm thinking Five Legendaries, 10 Rares, and 20 Uncommons.
* Return to the Gunsmith - He will take the parts you've gathered and begin building your gun but he still needs some things.
* Collect Materials - He'll give you a list of materials needed to build your gun and you must collect them (Spinmetal, Relic iron, Spirit Bloom, etc.)
* Back to the Gunsmith - He'll give you a sensor to gather calibrations
* Gather Calibrations - Now you must kill 500 enemies in PvE or kill 200 enemies in PvP
* Gunsmith - Blah Blah Blah
* Create the look - He'll task you with finding a gun (non-exotic) for the outer look of the gun and a shader for the colors
* Last Touches - Now that you've got the look you need to design your skill tree, only one perk per slot going on the basic Legendary perk tree formula.
* Name your Legend - Now you can name it and put a description with a character limit for both and no profanity
You'll only get this quest once per character, it would be untradable with your other characters and three times in total so choose wisely what you build. If you have any other ideas to make this quest better please share. [/b]

I actually came up with this exact same idea a month ago, I don't agree with the naming part because it takes up to much space in the game. Creating weapons would be great, especially if you could choose the different body types and tuning. Glad I'm not the only one to think of the shader part of the weapon creating. Bump +1, for reading my mind.
