Negative, look at the information on the web including the tweets by the guy who wrote the grimoire. It was shortly after there lead story guy Joseph Statten quit and they didn't want to pay him royalties on everything he created.

All I've seen are the conspiracy theories stemming from the removed Reddit posts. I don't know about any tweets from a supposed author of the grimoire cards. If you've got a link to them, that'd be great. Otherwise, I still hold the opinion I expressed in my comment.
