For nerfing my favorite weapon class, handcannons in no way needed a nerf in PVE why not just give the needed range debuff in pvp alone? Most engagements in PVE are mid to long.
Why not fix the kids cheesing the raid you guys "fixed", or maybe the heavy ammo bug, or mayhaps fixing the black hammer and word of crota? Maybe more vault space? Or all the glitches in the crota raid? Instead we get a weapons patch because of PVP players bitching?
I agree pulse rifles needed a buff, it should have been done months ago when you guys did nothing. Auto rifles are worthless in pve now and after the patch even more so. (Necro even more so)
Edit: keep replying guys maybe deej will see this post and change his mind!!!

"Maybe deej will see this post and change his mind" Uhh deej is just the community manager, he relays things to bungie he does not have a hand in these changes.

Deej didn't make the decision he is only a messanger

Let us just buff everyones least favourite weapons and nerf everyones favourite, but we can leave fusion rifles in the overpowered place they are in, great work. Still nobody is going to use pulse rifes

Edited by Apollo 00063: 2/8/2015 1:29:35 AMI'm not freaking out over the proposed changes, but I am seriously questioning the dev's priorities. I understand that there are multiple teams working to support Destiny but with all of the issues packed into Destiny, weapon nerfs....the most favored weapons to be nerfed on top of that....should be at the bottom of the list IMO. I agree that the pulse rifle category needs a massive boost because, let's face it, they suck. I am not a fan of how Bungie continues to add to the grind. If our Legends are too powerful and are chewing through low level enemies too quickly, maybe they should add a strike playlist that is closer to the level cap and rework the max level for the missions....and maybe, just maybe add a hard patrol. What did Bungie expect...of course level 30-32 guardians are running through the content....a damn good chunk of content in PVE is maxed out at 26 (ROC playlist). Once a day we get to take on level 30 missions - then we have to jump into hard VoG or CE to see that same level of competition. PVP is riddled with connection issues and is damn near unplayable for me. I don't want to keep getting slaughtered by some a-hole or a team of a-holes teleporting across the map and/or not taking damage when I lob a clip/mag of bullets to their face. Add the horrible reward structure and you have a big chunk of this game that I am simply not interested in.

Seriously? Hand cannons are currently way too over powered, no pistol should have that kind of range, you should be able to snipe with a sniper not a hand cannon.
-
Dude shit will get done when shit gets done. They probably have different departments working on different things. Weapon balancing gets done now, glitches get done destiny 2, vault space destiny 3. So stop whining they are working as fast as they can.
-
It's funny how everyone is complaining without having tested the changes yet. As usual this community over reacts to anything and everything in a negative way.
-
They are fixing the heavy ammo bug
-
What I'm confused with is how they cannot separate PvP nerfs from affecting PvE. Nerf something in PvP and it causes havoc for PvE players.
-
There's only a range nerd calm down
-
Bump pve weapon stats should be separated from pvp
-
I honestly don't think you'll be able to tell a difference after the nerf. It is very small.
-
-
-
You know those whining PvP bastards are all they care about.
-
If you need your hand Cannon to shoot across the map and kill someone then obviously something is wrong with you. They are not touching the range that hand cannons should be able to kill something from which is close to medium range.
-
"Hand cannons are working as advertised" but were going to nerf them anyway, bungie logic
-
False information is false.
-
He is the community manager,so changing his mind won't do anything.....
-
.....it's a slight range nerf. Calm your tits
-
Deej will change his mind about what? He's the community manager. He doesn't make any content or balance decisions.
-
I love hand cannons and even I think they needed a range nerf. You shouldn't be able to snipe with a pistol
-
Edited by Utah Actual: 2/8/2015 12:45:24 AMThey could also fix the connection issues in crucible. I'm sick of being in a match with people who glitch and teleport all over the map due to their, and everyone else's, red bar connection.

Oh shut up you whiney baby. You're mad because you can't use a try hard weapon anymore and that it actually takes skill to use now, oh wait you're gonna turn around and ask what didn't take skill before the update, the fact that it has a high impact, fast rate of fire, and the thorn hand cannon causes damage over time and you have a giant body target you see and it's hard to miss people in crucible or PVE. Now you actually have to try to kill them with more than just 2 bullets like the rest of us.
