its a shame that the majority of the community fail to understand that bungie created the lore and presented it in a fashion that would allow the community to gather round and create fan appreciation pieces the person who made the thread just does not get it and has instead failed at understanding the point of the games lore
Agree to let me disagree with your point of view. I'm an artist, love to play video games for the immersion, the characters, the stories, and those awe moments we've all experienced while playing. I have no desire to study collectible cards to puzzle together a semblance of a story. I buy video games to be entertained. Don't have a lot of free time because... life, so I try to choose carefully. Bungie did not advertize Destiny as a blank sandbox, but a game filled with lore, adventures, stories. I have a very vivid imagination, made up all kinds of stories with every character I've encountered in Destiny, in my head. I can do the same by drawing, writing on my own time, somewhere else, not while playing on my console. Destiny is all about the grind, the weapons and "Omgerd! Five billion players have played for xxxx hours in xxxx amount of days, doing the same thing over and over again! WOW! Terrific!". I'm happy for Bungie some players are addicted to this game, but I find the gameplay to be more chore than pleasure. Storytelling and goosebumps unforgettable moments were part of Bungie's legacy in the past. I couldn't care less about the story or the characters in Destiny. If it wasn't for Marty O'Donnell's music coupled with the artistic beauty of this game, I would not have any reason to play at all in this world devoid of any feelings I am unable to relate to.
