I was pretty sure that stuff was based off the grimoire cards... But correct me if I'm wrong.
Edit: Getting a lot of likes for this comment, so I guess I'm right then?

It is from grimoire, but that's the problem. The grimoire system isn't convenient or organized for that matter to make sense of the story. Not to mention the lack of depth as well.

If they did put it like that, i would be less mad about how grimoire is not in game
