2.5% damage reduction to an already sucky ass AR (Necro) is by far the most idiotic thing imaginable. That gun needs a buff not a nerf.
-
I'm pretty positive that necrochasam will be buffed in a later exotic patch. Also high RoF autos are getting less of a reduction then low RoF autos.
-
It better because as it stands now it's just unusable.
-
2.5% is still a lot for a gun specially after already being nerfed by 2.5% and less range and accuracy. Literally they're going to be useless
-
Yes because a 5 total percent decrease is enough to make them useless. It's been like 4 months since the first nerf and autos are still far and away the best weapon class. I'm sure they will be fine after will another 2.5% reduction. Also by your logic the pulse rifle buff of 10% will make them God their.
-
They've already been nerfed. That's a total of about 5%.
-
That's still almost nothing
-
Enough to make a difference.
-
And that's the point. It's a very slight change that will give other weapon classes that slight push they need to be competitive.
-
Everything's already even, all that needed to helped was Pulse Rifles.
-
That's just not true everyone knows that autos are top class in crucible.
-
Edited by Weesil xD: 2/6/2015 4:47:43 PMSee, that's it. That's why they're being nerfed again. Crucible. I can use a Scout Rifle in Crucible and do better than everyone else...
-
Edited by BlackReaper: 2/6/2015 4:48:20 PMNo it's not lol autos have pound for pound the lowest TTK. That's what everyone knows. That's why they are being changed by a measly 2.5%
-
Nobody says anything about them in PvE. That's the only logical reason I can think of, because they're still too good in Crucible.
-
This change hardly effects pve. Suros does like 371 or something around there on a crit. Reduce that by 2.5% and that's how much you will be doing. That damage reduction is so insignificant it's hilarious. This really only effects pvp where damage I in the 10s instead of the hundreds.
-
Lol, why would you use a Suros in PvE? Unless you don't have a Ghorn and using it for HC then that makes sense. But the point is that they're just fine, nothing should change..if they're too good then buff everything else so they can be on the same playing field.
-
You must not know how to read, because they addressed that in the article. Go back and look at it.
-
I did read it, unless I missed it lol.
-
Rather then my being an ass I apologize let me offer up some wisdom. So in the article it states, that if they were to buff all the other weapons to match what others are doing, it essentially makes the game far to easy. Doing this lowers the TTK and provides no challenge to the players any longer. But correcting the weapons that seem to be out of balance with the the others it will keep the game a challenge, and might cause some players to try new things. There is one thing I know about humans and they don't like change.
-
Edited by Weesil xD: 2/6/2015 6:51:13 PMOh ok, I was kinda confused by the TTK. But I understand it now, thanks. And I agree, nobody likes change unless it's something better than what they already have.
-
Everybody loves an upgrade :)

It was an example to show how minuscule the change is. Please do not try to derail the conversation.
