Nope. He is a community manager. He gets feedback (user stories) from the community. He can then pass that information on to the developers (The guys that write the code). They in turn can influence how the game is played. So yes, Deej (the PR guy) has some control.

Really.. so when the community bitched about having to farm mats for hours nobody went in and influenced the code to make the vendors sell mats for marks. Yeah.. that didn't happen. That clearly isn't a case of the devs listening to the community.

You mean that one time they did their job? Yeah, it was bitter sweet since they took the currency exchange for that. Job well done.
