The damage and risk isnt worth it in any situation even with buff. You wont stand next to a boss with it... All bosses have smash I rather hand cannons with volatile rounds or firefly for hoard mobs. I think a good fix is get the shotty spread wide and damaging. This will give more kills per shot Edit Or mar invective work like icebreaker... Boom
