You know, that's why shotgun should do more damage than sniper headshot. Because you are going in balls deep and you want to be rewarded for it. Range itself in this game is a shield. You can quite easily keep the range and stay alive while doing massive damage with sniper. Shotgun has it harder. So I think it should be rewarded a bit better.
