Im level 29 and struggling to get any legendarys let alone exotics any advice ??

Farm so you can lvl up cryptarch

Be part of a faction. You lvl up Reputation to get packages from the postmaster. It might contain a legendary. I got my first exotic, ice breaker from the crucible so it's random on strikes and crucible matches

Do some raids! Hard VoG or Normal crota.. Get someone to carry you through a PoE so you get a piece of armor. If you need someone to help Send MAULER117 a friend request and let me know what you need help with
