It's true. I live in Ohio and Ohio is one of the most important states to decide whom
the president will be thanks to the stupid -blam!-ing party system. But yeah. At the end of the day if you live in Texas your vote is going to the Republican Party. Why? Electoral college!!!!!
Ohio on the other hand is a swing state. At the end of the day, my vote is literally worth more than your vote.

Rofl....asshole bcuz true!

I've been to Ohio. I'll take Michigan over it any day. If they find out you're from Michigan they act like you are walking cancer and your cops are dicks
-
Ayyy I'm from Ohio too. Who are you voting for?
-
we nuke Ohio we nuke Lincoln
-
While what you say is technically true, the fact of the matter is the president is probably the least important person you vote for. Local officials are far more important and have a bigger effect on the individual lives of the people. So everyone's vote is extremely important no matter where you live. It just happens to be that the media has turned the president into a king, anything bad happens, thanks Obama... But Presidents have far less power than people realize.

Just moved out of Ohio after 23 years of life.

I live in Ohio and it really is an enormous shit hole.
-
Oh man Lincoln and I are from the same state.

Daily reminder that Lincoln is still a dirty scumbag

Daily reminder that you are an idiot.

Edited by pValue2010: 2/4/2016 4:48:36 PMNope. While your state has more electoral votes than mine, individually my vote counts more. This is because even though I live in a small state (Delaware), we're all guaranteed at least two electoral votes from the senate. Divide your electoral votes by your state population. That's basically how much your vote counts, and it's even smaller than mine. I really think we should just abolish all this crap, though, and just go by the popular vote.
-
Electoral votes should be abolished. Yeah they were important years ago when an accurate vote wasn't possible, but now it is just a way to sway an election. New York, Texas, Florida, and California shouldn't have that much control. The only way to have a fair election is to only use the popular vote and remove electoral completely. Granted those 4 states high populations would still have an effect on the election but at least everyone's vote would actually matter.
-
Yeah, equality!
-
Tfw the electoral college controls who gets in.....
Due to Americans being stupid.
-
And I always thought Canada's voting system was weird.
-
Welp. Proof that the system is broken. 10/10 must revolt.
-
I live in Ohio and I can confirm that people are about us much more during elections Plus he is right, your vote barely means anything thanks to gerrymandering and the electoral college #USA
-
Actually the electoral college was designed because if you went by the popular vote states with a bigger population would have more power than one with a smaller population. The reason swing states matter the most is because their votes can go iether way unlike red or blue states. Your vote matters yes but you're not the only swing state
-
In Ohio too, huh? Small world
-
Thanks a lot, electoral college.
-
I live in Ohio too...

I get the feeling that no matter who wins, there's going to be another American civil war
