Defeating Skolas

So, if you've been paying attention to what Bungie drip feed you, you'll know that Skolas (that massive bug looking f**ker that takes an age to kill) has had his health reduced. They've also removed burns. The good thing is that they've tweaked the spawn behaviour of the waves of enemies. They now spawn in correlation with Skolas' health. The question is, are you planning to melt him with gjallarhorns, or are you going to actually attempt the challenge properly? Hopefully we'll be able to get Skolas down without wasting tons of heavy synths, it's like flushing strange coins down the toilet. Good luck guys. - Req
