Hordes of Hive creatures threw themselves madly against the fireteam. The waves seemed endless and the foes that marched to the front lines and trailed behind the escapees only grew more dangerous to the weakening Guardians extremely low on ammunition and worse, stamina. Despair's clutches had nearly consumed the company, but through a joint effort, Shachal managed to bring the Hive monstrosity down, if even for a time, and barely evaded the hundreds if not thousands of claws right up unto their extraction.
