Time Travel

You asked for it, and I delivered. My Time Travel Theory. The Theorized Nature of Time and its Relation with Space Before we can begin talking about traveling through time, we must first go over the fundamentals of what time is, the mechanics of it, and common misconceptions. Of these, the fundamentals must be first Space may be the final frontier, but time is what drives it. If there were no mechanics of time in the universe, you would exist only in one frame, a frame of space. Imagine all existence as one of those funny animations on YouTube. The animator draws one frame at a time, and when run together they make a flowing animation that looks nice. Now, apply that knowledge to space and time's relationship. space is the frame, but time is what runs the frames together. So, now that we have established what time actually "is" we can talk more about its relation with space. I know most of us are familiar with the Big Bang theory. It states that existed in the beginning was compressed into an egg shaped object, and then exploded out. The question people ask is, what created it? Anyway, this is significant because it shows what the universe would be, and would remain, if there was no time. It would simply remain as small as possible. However, over time, the egg became more compressed and burst out. This isn't the best example, so let's look at another. So, imagine you live on a farm and a chicken just laid an egg. However, before the egg could hatch, time stopped. Until time starts again, this chicken is in this form. This come to show that, the beginning, is when time starts. What we have established now is that reality is like a wrist watch. On the outside, the hands of the watch move, but only because of the internal components. Space is what keeps track of time. You can only identify what time period you are in, by the things around you, and, in return, these things are put into motion by time. Now that we understand the Fundamentals, we can add a bit. What makes time progress? Some kind of force, in the beginning. Make of this, how you will Here is where the relationship between space and time become important. Time, is like a machine, it continues on without any chance of stopping, however, space, is more like a living thing. Easier to damage, possible to stop. Space has to account for every different possibility imaginable. So, how do you do that? Easy, alternate time lines. These time lines branch out like a tree, one decision laying the ground work for another, creating branches for realities to be built upon. That means infinite possibility, and infinite copies of any living thing, as long as they exist in a time line. Now for the reason this is on a Destiny forum: The Vex. The Vex are easily the strongest faction, because they have infinite soldiers. If they need more, they can just call more in from an alternate time line. This is also what Skolas was trying to do. If Skolas had succeeded, he would have brought back every wolf from every time line in which they exist, and used them to defeat everything in the system. So, Time drives space, space accounts for all possible realities by making Dimensions (Drawing in the Multiverse Theory) and the crossroads where dimensions are born, are very significant later, so don't forget that! Now, time for some common Misconceptions. #1 Everything done makes an alternate timeline. This is false, because, It takes a conscious mind to realize something is happening. If you have ever heard about Schrödinger's cat, feel free to skip this part. If you haven't, I will leave a link to the Wikipedia page. Basically, Schrödinger's cat is a thought experiment proving the point of the multiverse argument. The experiment goes like this, a cat is put in a steel box, with some radioactive material, a Geiger counter, and a device that, if the Geiger counter goes off, kills the cat. It is probable, yet unlikely, that an atom in the radioactive material may decay, ultimately killing the cat, however, you don't know until you look. So, essentially, the cat is in a state of both living and dead, until it is looked at by a conscious being, in our case, a human. The uncertain universe creates both timelines, for the cat that lives, and the cat that dies. You don't know which one you are in however, until you look at the cat. Therefore, by this evidence, we can conclude it takes a conscious decision to make a time line. A deer could not make a time line by eating, because it did this unconsciously. Get the picture? #2 Time travel and dimensional travel are separate concepts. You can do both, at the same time. All you have to do is break the dimensional membrane and enter whatever time manifests itself as in space, then travel where you want to go. You can travel back to any consciously made decision. (Which we don't know how to do) Time Travel, What you have been waiting for. As I said before, Interdimensional travel and Time Travel are the same thing. To travel back in your own time line, follow the path that you existed on. If you want to do some dimensional travel, go back to any point in time and then follow another path, leading you to anything. The only problem, and the reason this is only a mere theory, and not a scientific one at that, is the fact we can't test any of this by breaking into whatever time manifests itself as in space, and making our way through the branches of time and space.
