I'm surprised at the lack of Sony or Microsoft sponsored or owned gaming establishments

I don't know about anyone else or if there just isn't likely to be sufficient demand but I would have thought that there would be Sony or Xbox exclusive gaming "shops", similar to the road shows they had when releasing the new consoles. I know my friends and I would pay to be able to game in a real social environment, rather than be in our separate houses. I know I would go to somewhere that has a number of Xboxes or playstations, even if it's just to try new games out or watch others playing and be able to learn from them. Anyone else surprised or do these places actually exists? Imagine playing in an environment with 50 gamers all playing destiny in the same building, I think it would be amazing.
