Do NOT upgrade it with Xur. It's a waste. His upgrades are for people who got the exotics before the DLC was released. It's NOT "pay to unlock perks" so you don't have to put any xp into it. The old exotics only have 300 atk/ 30 light max, the upgrades allow them to be upgraded to get a 331 atk/ 36 light max at the cost of a bunch of materials and resetting all its perks.

I love this helmet. I go HAM with it.

I don't think it's a must-buy, or a very good first exotic. It's not very good for either raid, the bonuses are kinda meh, it's a strength helm which isn't very useful IMO, I feel discipline and intellect are more useful overall. It's really only useful for PvP, and even then that's debatable since me personally, I suck with Death From Above and can't hit shit with it. I'd pass personally, I think an Insurmountable Skullfort is a better striker titan helm overall, especially for the raid. The only must-buy titan exotics, IMO, are Helm of Saint-14 which I don't think Xur has ever sold, the Armamentarium, and maaaaaybe Ruin Wings.

Doing the "superman" is fun with striker. Doing it with one of the other perks is pure awesomeness.

I leveled my titan first as striker and this was his first exotic. It doesn't do a lot to benefit that's obvious. It allows you to direct your fist of havoc after you jump in the air so you can angle down on the enemy. I ended up dismantling it when the new DLC exotics came out. Also dismantled a second after obtaining from an engram. I prefer the titan gauntlets. Have No Back Up Plans and really want Ruin Wings. Or even Armamentarium chest piece. But that's my opinion.

Best striker helm

I still use my helm of inmost light. Although ruin wings are better, the superman punch and the extra distance on fist of havoc can come in handy. I personally love it, but probably won't use it much once I get ruin wings
