Newb tips

Sooo. I got husk of the pit. Played with it. It handled crappy. Turned it into weapon parts. This happened twice. Today my brother tells me it's uber upgradable into two higher weapon classes. So now I'm going to play who knows how long hoping to get another one. I haven't gamed in almost 20 years beyond holidays with the family, until destiny. I'm loving the game, the experience, and this group. Admittedly I'm way behind the curve from guys that have gamed more or less steady these past years, but i have just as much fun. Please, dod masters, are there any other things like the husk, that I should know about before I waste unknowingly awesome discoveries?

  • When you get weapon drops during your game play, pay attention to the perks before dismantling them. You can sometimes get the same weapon you just recently dismantled, but it may have shoot to loot, or field scout to name a couple useful ones. The perks can really change the worth of a weapon, especially in the lower than 20 lvls, so look more closely before dismantling. In the case of husk of the pit it's not that obvious, and I did the same thing you did before I read about it in the forums.
