Sad news.
If you have looked at the Bungie weekly update then you have seen the sad news and must say goodbye to our gaurdians. I know everyone will have mixed emotions about this. I hate to say goodbye to my gaurdian and the time it took to get he where I wanted.
Now it is off to a creating a new gaurdian and having new experiences with as many of our new clan members as possible.
What does everyone think of Bungie's decision to clean the slate?

This is the one bright side of me only playing the Beta for about two hours total. Does anyone remember how long the Halo3 beta lasted? It was so hard to go back to Halo2 after playing the beta for so long. And we had a much longer wait if i remember correctly.

I went in knowing it was a beta and happy for any experience that I could get.

Lol i had collected almost a full set of blue lvl 10 gear, but i am happy to see it go. I am sad to say goodby to my upgrade supper cool starship. But i can always by another one. :)

This is a good thing. I don't have to spend time clearing my vault out! It won't get as clogged now that I know what to dismantle and what to save. Haha.

I think its better for all to start again :) Well get equal start. We who have play in alpha and beta already have better start cause we know a lot more about the game :)

It would have been cool to keep my guardian and if anyone could transfer beta to final game it is Bungie. But, it was just a testing round and at least I know what I'm doing now (so much time researching what did what and how to get the best weapons for PvP!).

2 RepliesIts cool. And people are right, its just more playing time in the end anyway. I did have cool loot though, like seven legendary gear and I'm gonna miss my sweet iron banner jumpship. It was like a golden school bus

All the beta/alphas I've participated in have never transferred data to the final product. To answer your question... pretty standard really. I'm fine with it. :-)

4 RepliesHappy to start anew I'm sure there will be more customization in full release. Not to mention it only took my two hours in explore mode to find all green equipment and six blues plus the gold chests.

It was the best decision in my opinion and they explained it perfectly so even the raging 12 year olds will understand it.

I'm glad we will be starting again. People were already exploiting glimmer per hour, spin metal farming etc, so it will put everyone back to a level playing field to begin with. I won't miss my guardian as I will be very excited to create a new one. I only found 5-6 blue items nothing above that so loot wise I'm also not too bothered. Roll on 9th Sept. Can not wait.

2 RepliesI don't think I'm going to miss my character as much as I am going to miss all my crucible and vanguard point currency that I earned but oh well no use in crying I've spilled milk right!?

I'm good with it. I'd have liked to try out the level 10 blues id found, but now I get to be exited about drops all over again. Also, anything below level 20 is irrelevant and simply a means to an end. It'll only take 2-3 hours to get to 8 again. Bring on the 9th!

4 RepliesI will mostly miss my Iron Banner hunter cloak and emblem. Other than that - I wanted to start at level 0 anyways! I'm glad to hear they've made enough tweaks to the game that deleting our characters was [i]required[/i]. That bodes well for the final product.

One - two weeks worth of playing is almost irrelevant, other than the shared experiences, and unless you have Alzheimer's, you get to keep those. I will have to find my legendary space bus again though. ;-(

I took pics of my hunter in the companion app, so I'm all good. It didn't take that long to get to level 8. I had a couple of items that required level 10 that would have been nice to try out but oh well, the level 20 weapons look much better.

I'm good. I made a lot of decisions based on losing my Hunter and Titan that I would regret if I was to play on with them.
