My first VOG run!
So I finished the VOG last night for the first time and I was gifted Atheons Epilogue. I wanted to thank those that helped me through. I can't remember your names but thank you all.
Anyone else have any cool loot stories from their first VOG run?

6 RepliesTbh I still I haven't finished my first run, I did most until atheon from last night and a bit this morning but we didn't finish but on my first run i got -praedyths revenge -raid gauntlets - raid chest -ascendent shards -ascendent energy Is that good for a first run? Im still at atheon tho

My first run on hard, I joined at the gatekeeper check point. My first drop was shards, but my drop on Atheon was the raid helmet for my warlock and hard light!

Pyradeths Revenge, Atheons Epiloge, Fatebringer, Corrective Measure, Hezen Vengence, Vision of Confluence, Found Verdict and Universal Remote. 2 characters 13 activities cleared only one piece of Raid Armor....Love the guns though

Any possibility you would want to do another raid tonight? Maybe 9 CST? I got 2 guys with me in my clan and none of us have ever done it. Looking for someone to help us get our feet wet. Let me know if you're interested. Also we are on ps4. Gamer tag is ItsRed716.

"Why isnt it opening we have all the sync plates up" ( we only had it up for like 30 seconds, correct tactic but we expected it to open immediately) Switched tactics "Maybe all 6 if us have to stand in the same sync plate the move to the next" "Someone read the grimoires and figure the order the sync plates need to be activated" (was still going with the 6 man sync plate theory) "Maybe there is a hidden plate someone search for it" " maybe we need the plates to be all red first before activating" It ended with us calling it because we were to dumb to figure it out, and kept getting our asses kicked by the praetorians. Second attempt after some spoilers came out, spent like 6 hours, most of it on atheon, beat it. We were too low a level, didnt know how to use the relic. On atheon our relic holder never put a shield up nor supered atheon. We thought the relic was just there to cleanse. We huddled in the back with titan bubbles up jumping up and down shooting atheon while another titan was on center platform with bubble up to draw supplicant fire.

Did it on normal last night... didnt finish....almost mabye tonight.... but i got crap so far... couple of shards and energies... and a green pulse rifle...yep...GREEN pulse rifle WTF... thats hardly worth the effort bungie !!!!!!!!

Congrats man, hope you had fun :) I remember my first time beating the vault. I was asleep when I got a phone call asking if I was free to play. We all rush the vault and when we finally beat atheon it's about 2 in the morning. I was a wreck at work but it felt good :)

What's worse... the rest of the group were mostly experienced teens who kept leaving me behind, explained norhing about the strategy for the various stages, and had some snide parting comments about newbies at the end.... amazing what people will say if they are anonymous. Kinda soured the whole initial experience for me. I'm sure it will get better as I get to know the raid but the non-DoD crowd can have some real unpleasant gamers....

My first run I got Hard Light, Gjallerhorn, and two pieces of raid gear. (Chest and arms). I was hearing about it from the rest of the raid crew all week!

I didn't get any good loot from my first run but I was excited just like you are about yours. I even came on here and posted about it! Congrats on your first run! In my experience it only gets more fun from here

I got a great tutorial run on 360 from a guy who posted the offer in the forums. Learned a lot but shards and stuff every chest and reward, until we killed Atheon, and... Vision of Confluence! I unlocked the full auto mode and it is just ridiculous already even without all the other perks and damage.

I got the atheons epilogue my first run to. My last run I got gjallarhorn so... Yeah

Can't complain too much though, my first run I got VoC (about 75% upgraded at this point) which will make future runs that much easier. I love scout rifles too they're my #1 weapon. My second run I got Found Verdict, another good raid weapon but not something I use often. No raid armor yet but I'm happy with two raid weapons in two runs. I hope Epilogue drops for me next time.

I've done it numerous times but I did it the first time on my Titan yesterday. You won't believe what I got.. an ancient treasure that I haven't seen in ages.. chatterwhite!!! It was also the first time I played normal raid in a while, but I didn't get a single good drop! Only shards and energy [b]all[/b] the way through.. except at Atheon.. I got freaking chatterwhite.

Dam man I wish I had that gun iv run the raid so many times and still haven't got it! Oh well hopefully atheon will drop it for me on hard next week

1st time i did it i recd gallajhorn and vison of confluence at the same time at the end. Of all the times ibe raided.....not one piece of gear. Anyone with time on 360 or Xbox one add GT: panic1975. i have 29 warlock 28 titan and hunter. Do so also for raids and nitefalls. I am retired army and dont have anything I like better than raiding, strikes or making new friends. Besides playing with my 9yo. I look forward to playing with you all. Panic1975 CST Missouri
