Major Bungie Dev Update today

Bungie posted today about major updates, including buffs to exotics, adding to the way we get upgrade materials and upgrade weapons and armor. Short version: [b]You can no longer push off the Templar[/b] During the Vault of Glass raid it was possible to use grenades from a Warlock, usually a Sunsinger, to push the Templar off the back of the platform. Most people would bunch up in a corner and ignore the oracles with the relic holder simply cleansing everyone. Now we all have to do it the intended way: the relic holder shoots the shield and then everyone fires on the Templar to take it down. [b]No longer need Ascendant shards and energy to upgrade guns and armor[/b] Instead of needing shards or energy for the last set of upgrades, now you upgrade until the final one is needed and you buy an Exotic Shard from Xur for 7 strange coins. Congrats on getting fully upgraded next weekend ;-) [b]An alternative to farming[/b] Tired of running around in a circle opening chests trying to farm the last helium filaments you need to upgrade those gauntlets? Now you will be able to use Vanguard and Crucible marks to buy them from the vendor. Finally the marks have more use than weapons and non-30 light gear. Of course there is more info in the post, including the exotic buff details which make tons of sense. These were the big ones for me.
