    If you have the DLC or plan on getting it then I would wait on that. Just some friendly advice. I'm sure you're aware of the change to all the exotics. If you complete the bounty after the DLC you will be awarded the upgraded Thorn. Then you won't have to worry about spending the 7000 glimmer and exotic shard should the weapon be awarded prior to all the change. Hope that made sense.
