DLC disappointment
Am I the only one that finds TDB to be a little lacking? Not a single cutscene, and just a bunch of bounties? Queens bounty anyone? Don't get me wrong, I'm loving my time with it. However, where is the interconnected story that bungie suite they were going to add? I'm bummed....

It's a mixed bag for me. I liked the story missions, the weapons are interesting, some of the new armor is slick some is butt-ugly. I do think the bounties and items offered by Eris a bit of fluff but that's not entirely a bad thing for some. My biggest gripe is the adjustment to the economy to remove material trade in for Rep and Marks. Not everyone likes Crucible and removing this economy option forces Crucible play implicitly which BLOWS. Not to mention if you have piles of materials from play that you don't need for upgrades, what do you do with it? That's time invested and it's taking up space do you just toss it out? You can't give it away and you can't turn it into Glimmer so... it's useless? Really bad move.

I'm in between....I love the new content...the missions, raid, strike and PvP maps. Kinda miffed about my hard fought IB sleeves and other legendaries (really even my VoG drops bungie???) becoming useless and not a huge fan of the new hunter helmet looks. I think Destiny as a whole is missing a lot of story telling that would have been better done in cutscenes as opposed to grimoire cards, or have some of the cards contain scenes...overall I'm not that disappointed and I'm having fun w/ the new stuff.

Its going to take me all weekend to do it with the limited time I have and I just want to do the effing strike! Also. I'm extremely disappointed that the gear I have is equivalent to having been nerfed. Now I go to dead orbit and all of the gear that I have already spent weeks getting is far below stat-wise than the exact same items He's selling. I'm sure I'll get better stuff, but itll be way difficult. I'm on the fence.

1 ReplyIs it lacking or are your expectations to high? the quests build the story to the dark below raid. Before I had no idea why Atheon needed to die but I know why im going after Croata. They did a fantastic job with this. It's a different way of telling the story and I think it will continue to evolve but what they have is great.

So I am disappointed. I love playing the game but we now have less content not more they replaced prior story missions. And the new first story mission is gone forever. WTH but that being said still enjoying playing this gsme

Same here. I would have liked more then just three story missions. The arrival of Eris with her ship could have been a example of a cut scene. Or a mission where you play Eris helping her to escape would have been awesome. Or at least accompany her during her escape. I have still hope for next dlc!
