My wife would rather have a root canal than play video games... in short .... she hates them. No... loathes them.and she is always quick to remind me in case i forget....lol... she thinks they are a huge waste of time... and she might be right... but mabye thats one of the reasons i like them so much... so much of our life is spent doing things for other people... bosses ...wives...kids. at the end of the day its nice to have something for yourself. An escape.. if you will. An the fact that ive found so many likeminded dods like myself to share this waste of time with just makes it that much more fun...so ive quick trying to explain it to her...you dont have to "get it".... you just have to accept it...most of the time it works out ok...hey lets face it im never gonna "get it" when it comes to all the shoes i have to dig through to find my one pair of runners... but ive learned to accept it....kinda...lol... so play on dods... play on...you are not alone.

My wife tolerates it. She had an original Nintendo 8bit system as a kid (we still have it). But she didn't play anything for 20+ years. Now she just can't grasp what is happening. Especially in a game like Destiny. It's lots of fun trying to explain to her that I can't change the batteries in the baby's bouncy chair right now because I'm in the middle of a "raid" and I can't just press pause. I get lots of eye rolls and headshakes.

I got lucky. Got a gamer on my hands. We play together. Two Tv's side by side.

Mine tolerates it as long as I have taken care of my chores etc. She does keep asking why I can't pause and talk to her or do something for a minute..."Its not that kind of game." is repeated often and my daughters are even chanting it now. :)

My wife created the main character I play with (hence why it's female) and watched for the first 3 hours to understand what Destiny is about. She doesn't mind and has always played games herself (we play every Zelda game together when released and she has a Wii U Zelda edition).
