well that sucks
So I bought the new gloves and boots from the vanguard and the new exotic chest from xur and I was just about to hit level 2 in new monarchy and I was thinking "great I'll level up get one of the commandments things
and a new helmet and be good to go" but that is not possible because you can't get the new commandment thingy until level 3 so why the hell can I unlock the gear at level 2?! It doesn't make any sense.

no worse than getting an exotic drop last night and realizing its a 300 dmg not the updated one :(

Otherwise it would be too easy to obtain gear. Run bounties and missions wearing your faction Mark till LvL 3 now that you vanguard is LvL 3. As well, the first 2 levels are only 1000 and 1500 rep needed respectively. Rank 3 and above require 2500 rep per rank. Commendation letters will sometimes come with a piece of legendary equipment of any guardian type.
