Cheesing Fail!

So last night I had my plans to knock out some bounties, upgrade my rexurbished gjallahorn to get wolfpack rounds and play crucible to get to 150 marks so I could buy the sniper. Get on and a friend invites me to do Crota's End from the beginning. Even though I have the save on Crota I agree since that character only got the save, not worked its way through (my other warlock did the hard work). I join the party while switching characters and hear them talking about witches before Crota. They kept dying so I suggested we just use my save point since you get no drops from killing those pesky witches. I'm excited to now try killing Crota legit...but then someone suggests we do the glitch instead. I'm outvoted because "it's faster and will soon reset." This is 10:45pm est. None of us have done the glitch but we know how to do it. I get selected to dashboard Crota into permanently kneeling. First two times fail. I get the hang of it after that (and instantly feel dirty). My friend drops offline and leaves me with the strangers. Suffice it to say that at 12:55am est we were still unable to kill the kneeling Crota thanks to his oversoul and despite my complaining for the last hour that we could have already beaten the entire raid legit, they want to go on. I finally put my foot down and said I'm gone to play crucible and get my marks. Told them it's karma for trying to cheese. 3 of the guys agree that they need to shoot some people to relieve stress after the Crota cheese fail. We win 4 out of 5 clash and I go to bed with my 153 marks. [b]IGN beat the raid in 30:05 mins. Serves me right for feeling obligated to a group of strangers, succumbing to peer pressure and then becoming the actual person to execute the glitch. Never again![/b]
