Firstly Happy New Year to all! So I got a PSTV for Christmas and was excited for how much more game time I can get with the remote play feature but soon after setting it up I realized my excitement was premature. Apparently I have a terrible wifi signal and the PSTV will need to be hard wired. As an alternate to running long lines of Ethernet cable I'm looking into powerline network adapters. Anyone have any experience with these? If so, will this solve my connection issues? Any advice will be appreciated.

  • Wired networks are always going to beat wireless in quality. That said, how possible is it to run wires in your house? Could you run wires through the walls or would a really long network cable to the job? I've been kicking myself in the ass from day 1 when we built our home and I didn't run Ethernet through the house when I had a chance.

    • I was actually just thinking about getting one. Sounds like I'll pass on the PSTV.

      • Update: So I picked up the TP Link tl-pa4010kit powerline adapters and I have connection speeds same as if directly connected to our router. Remote play connection is strong but I notice some lag on the home screen. I'll run some bounties soon to see if the lag persists and provide another update for anyone having similar issues.
