What's your quickest level 20 with a new character?
Thanks to RNG'sus I may be finally getting around to creating a titan this week. I already have a 31 warlock that I started with back in September. Just wanting to find out how quick everyone else had gotten to level 20 with their new characters? Here's my plan:
Story missions - max xp level
Bounties
Strike playlist - worth it?

4 RepliesMake sure you send blue and purple engrams to your new character and have them decode. You'll be well equipped by level 10 and when your reach 20 should jump right to 27.

2 Replies4 hours. It's pretty fast now with the Eris bounties and new missions, too, which you can do right off the bat. Also, if you happen to be up way too early (I get woken up regularly at 330 and can't go back to sleep) , you can double dip some of Eris bounties and the regular.

Edited by Darthmaximus: 1/7/2015 11:42:20 PMI did my alt in 8-10hrs of normal play and crucible. Did as many bounties as I could as often as I could. The max difficulty unless you have a friend carrying you is not really worth the extra time. I hand a full set of legendaries and 2 exotics waiting for my alt at lvl 20 so I went from 19 to 27 instantly. Don't think I've finished Mars with them yet or did any strike beyond the Devils lair.

2 RepliesUnless you have a person to carry you, I wouldn't bother with the max difficulty on the story missions. The difference in xp is negligible considering how much harder it will be to get through the missions. Just fly through standard story missions and you'll be lvl 20 in no time. It's been so long and I never bothered to check how long it took me to get to 20 so I can't give you a number on how long or how many story missions to hit 20.

Once your able to do bounties, do them and turn them in. I have a level 15 hunter that hasn't even gotten halfway through the moon missions...lol

I made a second titan. It did most levels on normal and some on hard(missions that I knew I could beat easily). Bounties and Playlist and the occasional crucible match.
