My Son decided the strike was over

So this afternoon I was trying to get a Vangaurd Roc strike in. It wasnt going well do to my luck with pug partners (see previous post lol), and i was starting to get frustrated. I was grumbling under my breath and thinking its probably about time to call it a day. I just really wanted to finish thia strike though. As we struggled all of the sudden my screen goes black then my Ps3 says just a second. Im like what the heck!!? Thats when i see the disc pop out, my 1 year old son had ejected the disc. Argghhhh, lol, perfect end to a frustrating session. Oh well, guess he figured he was helping Daddy.

  • I got a fancy credenza for our living room because of this kind of thing. But then my son figured out how to open the doors so I've had to further child proof the entertainment goods. He still tries though...persistent child!

    • Literally laughed out loud on this. My son decided mid Roc (which was the Hellmouth strike) that it was time to "poop in the underwears" which, while potty training, means one of two things. Either he's saying, "Dad, you have 2 seconds to get me to the bathroom or you are going to have a mess to clean up," or it means, "Dad, you have a mess to clean up." I came back to two very patient guardians dancing next to me... I guess the kind random players played body guard for a brief three minutes waiting for my son to finish up.

      • Just yell "No!" And then throw a can of beer at their head. They won't touch buttons again.

I was haply when I bought the r2d2 360 kinect when it came out. I now have a one year old son, and he is also happy thats what I got. He likes to hit the power button repeatedly because it makes funny noises (yep, r2d2). We resorted to putting the baby fence/playpen thing around the entertainment center so he couldnt reach anything important lol

        • Yeh my 1-year-old daughter just loves that Xbox button! She now knows what it does too, and will often look at me a split second before she does it. Her favorite though is to turn it off while we're skyping with her grandparents!

          • My two year old constantly finds the spare controller when I'm in a strike. I don't notice till the box pops up on the screen asking to switch controllers. Then I have to chase him down and take the battery pack off. Usually dead by the time I catch him.

            • Lol. My pitbull/boxer every once in a while walks by the Xbox sniffs it and ends up turning the Xbox off. Man it makes me mad. My little guys 6 months so I'm not to far off from him crawling/walking and turning the system off lol.

            • Not my kid but my dog loves to sniff at the front of my xb1 , the power " button " literally takes the slightest touch to turn off ! Once in VOG with clan and all they heard was " Odin no get away fr ......" Player has left the party Player has left the fire team :)

              • Ouch! Sounds like a new bounty "finish a strike without having the disc ejected "

              • I can honestly say I've never had that problem. My boy just tried jacking my controller. He wants to "help" daddy win, which usually equates to me getting shot in PvP. He then points to the screen and giggles. "Uh oh... daddy no good." It's a good thing he's so cute.

                  • I was finishing up soloing the weekly yesterday when my dog wanted some attention. Tail wags ejects disc just as I downed Omnigal. I couldn't believe it. All I can think is ,First time I soloed a weekly on hard and for nothing. Log back on and found those 9 coins in my bank. I think i might need a break from this game as I was more worried about my strange coin bank than my savings account.

                  • When my son decides a strike is over he takes the boss down quick - good to have a 12 yr old better than me on my fireteam :-)

                  • I had to turn my Xbox One sideways because my one year old son figured out he could reach the glowing white button on the front of it.
