Robert O'Neill on Dallas radio
Robert O'Neill the guy from SEAL team 6 who shot Ben Laden was on the Dallas radio station I listen to at work. He was talking about the raid and stuff and if anybody cares to hear it I'll post the podcast when they put it up later tonight. My real point of the thread was actually just something he said while he was being interviewed at that I thought was pretty cool.
They told him they think Navy Seals are some of the bravest and most fearless people in the planet. Then they asked him if there was ever a point in time while he was an active seal that he was ever afraid. He responded by saying " Fear is a good thing everybody has fear, it's panic that will get you killed. To me the definition of bravery is being able to take that fear and push it aside and then actively participate in saving your own life."
That is not an exact quote but it's as close as I can get without hearing it again. Just thought that was a cool explanation on his thoughts on bravery.
