If you bought an icebreaker from xur a couple if weeks ago, that will carry you through the raid.

It is definitely situation dependent for what weapons work well in raids but not having raid weapons won't stop you at all. Going with your example of taking down oracles I have seen Murmur rip them to shreds. You have 2 people carrying murmur in oracles on hard and it seems a breeze. Things like tracking rockets work well with bosses and larger enemies like pretorians but I wouldn't be using a G-horn in the bubble shield against Atheon. Something like bad juju that regens ammo or a weapon with high rate of fire has been handy in the abyss while ice breaker is handy in a large number of cheeses, umm I mean situations. It ends up being a cross between what you feel comfortable with and the damage output of the weapon to go along with the situation really. I definitely wouldn't worry about the oracle killing or perk if I was ever building a raid team though. Plus if you're playing with a group of DoD'ers then most won't be too fussed anyway.

I got a void Harms way fully maxed, I love it, but the reload and the ammo loss if you wipe has got me into diffs in the past, rinses ammo synths fairly quickly. I heard that about SGA but I don't see many bothering with it so I figure it can't be all that. Ice breaker I missed out on like an idiot, had only been playing about a week and a half and didn't realise how good it was haha

Are you pArt of a faction

Edited by OGMoonWizard: 2/2/2015 11:23:47 PMThe weapons you have equipped on your profile look fine to me. Shouldn't have any issues. SGA is good on oracles because they register as misses so you will never run out if ammo. I have found that pulse or auto rifles work better on the Atheon oracles though, faster sustained damage vs. Slower higher damage of hand cannons and scouts. LDR is great and I actually used a lv300 swarm on Atheon and it just destroyed him. Your load out would be great for Crota's End. I honestly feel like VoG takes twice as long and is harder (especially more buggy) than Crota's end. At 31 you'll have no issues in Crota normal.

It's gonna depend. If you are by yourself, you will have to use a heavy or special in order to get the impact needed. A regular Primary isn't going to take down something like an Oracle fast enough. However, if you have at least one other person helping you (shooting at the same thing), don't waste Heavy ammo. Just use your primary. And, pray for a Vision of Confluence. A Primary that does solar damage, and has a special modifier for Oracles. 6-7 shots, and they're toast. I find myself sitting around playing tiddlywinks in between shooting at them.

The swarm mg w/void is great for handling minotaurs You'll want a good sniper rifle, a rocket launcher & whatever maxed primary works best for you. I'd go for impact over rate of fire though for when you reach the oracles

Harms way is the most stable MG I've seen so far with biggest ammo supply, 301 rounds. I have it in solar and void and that weapon has gotten me through some tight situations.

I don't have the weapon, but from what I hear Super Good Advice is great for the oracles because all of the ammo returns to the clip.
