Okay....... I mean. I'm Korean and my parents grew up with Anime because Japan is so nearby.... So when they started to show me what they grew up with I started watching Naruto and Dragon Ball Z. It's different cultures. You're entitled to your own opinion. It's just that it's not made for an American audience to be honest. Also the American Community of Anime watchers is disgraceful. I don't think calling it "gay" is a good thing though. Maybe stupid or even retarded, but calling it "gay" isn't the proper terminology.

Thank you, you understand, i mean if I was born in like China or something I might like it but I don't like many thing to do with that culture
except Chinese food I love Chinese food (or at least the American version of Chinese food )
-
Ah thank you for an understanding response. It's all about where you come from. Oh and by the way the "Chinese food" you eat at the Panda Express is an Americanized version. Unfortunately I have to say that I prefer the Americanized version to authentic Chinese. Please keep your severed Duck Heads away from me.
-
Your welcome but yeah if I were ever to have severed duck head I'd probably throw up on the spot
-
That's funny I told one of my Chinese friends the same thing. He laughed about it. He said nobody really eats that stuff anymore. Times change. You don't know maybe one day the majority of the American popularity could just accept anime just as the same as we accept reality TV.
-
Lol, idk my opinion could change overtime but I doubt it because anime just isn't my cup of tea
-
Mine did. Believe me, I had the same thought process as you until around sophomore year or so.
-
Mine did. Believe me, I had the same thought process as you until around sophomore year or so.
Eh who knows I'm just a junior so it could my opinion COULD change
-
Yeah that's fine. Just keep an open mind. People from all over the world are on the Internet. You never know why they started doing something
-
Yeah that's fine. Just keep an open mind. People from all over the world are on the Internet. You never know why they started doing something
Yeah I guess that's true thanks for not being an ass like most people here (aka me )
-
Spoken like a true middle schooler.
-
Spoken like a Xx_swegmast3rnoobpwnage4lyfe_xX
-
But seriously anime is the lowest form of television out there
except reality television
-
Then you haven't seen any good anime. There's such a wide variety of genres that you're virtually guaranteed to find something you'd enjoy.
-
Edited by superseminoles: 9/24/2015 11:32:12 PMPromise you I won't find any anime show interesting I don't even like the Japanese culture
-
Again, that's an incredibly close-minded and uninformed statement. While pretty much all anime will have some Japanese influence in its writing, a lot of them don't directly feature Japanese culture or include it at all.
-
Edited by superseminoles: 9/24/2015 11:42:05 PMSo we all have different opinions and mine is that anime is gay and if u can't understand that then -blam!- off simple as that
-
Edited by Legoburn: 9/24/2015 11:53:43 PMYou're entitled to your opinion, but if you're going to have an uninformed and juvenile one you shouldn't parade it around.
-
Well it's a little too late for that isn't it
-
Evidently.
-
Edited by superseminoles: 9/25/2015 12:02:22 AMIf u want a uniformed opinion 1.i don't like the art style(at all) 2. Most of the shows plots are -blam!-ing stupid 3. Lastly the fan base are the most moronic group of people I have ever had the displeasure of meeting
happy now?
-
1. I can understand that. There's a wide variety of art styles used in various shows, though, and some of them are practically indistinguishable from Western cartoons. 2. You don't have any basis for this statement without watching a considerable amount of anime. 3. Fair enough.
-
Edited by superseminoles: 9/25/2015 12:09:44 AMFor #2 I've watched an episode of most of the shows people like you crap your pants for but I just never found them interesting at all but hey its ur opinion I guess
-
Edited by Legoburn: 9/25/2015 12:18:11 AM
I've watched an episode
I can't take your opinion seriously at all if you decide the quality of something's plot based on one episode. That's like saying Romeo and Juliet is a terrible play because you only read the first act. And just because something is popular doesn't mean it's necessarily good. That goes for all media though, whether you're talking Sword Art Online or Jersey Shore.
-
Well I think we can both agree that jersey shore is trash
