Tried PvP with the Hunter and I did alright. I tried for a few games to capture points and then sit back and wait for them to take it, but I just got wrecked. I tried one game of balls to the wall aggression and had my best game by far. My score was only okay because I didn't capture a lot of points, but I got my fair share of kills. I feel like I'm getting better, but I'm still not all that great.

A lot of both but PvP for sure because of drops. Even in the Alpha I had a blast playing the Crucible.

I definitely will partake in PVP once I have a handle of how to use my class effectively. I play EVE Online, and the pvp there is awesome. I'm not expecting any similarities with this, but if I can't kill another player, then what's the point!

Edited by BurntGerbil: 7/17/2014 3:24:51 AMMy PvP story. AKA, "Why I Suck at Competitive Shooters"
Once upon a time, there was boy who had a Playstation 2. When the XBox came out, his friends bought them, but he saw no reason to do the same. For a few years, his friends enjoyed playing Halo, and the boy had barely even heard of it. One year, the boy's parents bought he and his brothers an Xbox 360 for Christmas. When news of this acquisition reached his friends, they enthusiastically suggested that the boy host a Halo party. The boy agreed. That Halo party can best be defined as "Let's snipe the noob for 2 hours straight because we have the maps and spawn points memorized!!" The boy decided that he didn't care for competitive shooters anymore, and avoided the genre as a whole for several years because he felt too far behind everyone else to be able to catch up.
That being said, I'm going to try to enjoy myself and work on the PvP in this one. I don't know if it will hold my interest, but I do intend to give it a shot. Edit: Wow, the formatting didn't work at all like it was supposed to. Hopefully it's just an issue with the Bungie site being a bit wonky at the moment. Edit 2: Upon editing the post, the formatting has fixed itself. That was easy enough.

In the Beta, I'll probably play it a little bit, but not a whole lot. The campaign is going to consume me. For the actual release, I will be playing the campaign for quite a while(probably until completion) before I hop onto Crucible, but I will still play PVP quite a bit.

I'm not much for PVP but as a group I'll join and for the any unlockables.. @_@

I'll definitely be playing a ton of campaign for story, unlockables, and the inevitable loads of expansions Bungie will release... But eventually I'm sure I'll keep coming back for the Crucible, especially if we establish a PVP team! Getting a good core group of players/friends to play with is exactly what I've been looking for.

I will be playing it for the trophies, unlockables, and fun. Also CJ Egoz, you can edit your posts :D
