Our group and clan members ranks are growing quite nicely and I'm humbled and relieved that we have so many fellow gamers supporting a clan that is inclusive to both women and men. Even those in other clans or groups are sending me messages daily of support and back up because let's face it, gaming is majorly fun and there are lots of women and girls out there who either don't use their mikes, or choose names that don't identify them as female and in the 21st Century, that is not only absurd, it's obscene. I've had my share of morons who have treated me badly, but MORE guys who have not and so to those men who have joined us here, you are so welcomed and appreciated for your maturity and sense of fair play. We all know that you don't have to have specific body parts to use a remote and kill enemies, yes, there are more fellas playing than women but that has to change. It's good for us all if we have a variety of players and ironic in games set in the future with female characters that women should feel so out of place in the gaming world. Plenty of guys I know tire of having to 'talk' the macho crap and just want to play with team players who know how to cooperate and not try to steal your XP or you have to spend all your time reviving them because they won't use cover or think it's always about running head long into the fray without thinking about the team's scores or strategy For the more experienced players, help new ones when you can and there's nothing wrong with wanting to win, so we'll try to ask those who are newer to say so, so when you're on their team you know they will need some back up and suggestions. If you want to PVP experienced team that day or night to play , Say so.. If you want a casual game that day, say so. It's okay to want to play at your level but take some time once in a while to bring newer players along so that our Clan has a well seasoned group when the going gets tough. Don't get me wrong the women I play with dig their sniper rifles and popping 'melons' and we are competitive about our rankings but it's not everything all the time. In Mass Effect 3 I play as a Krogan and live for using my melee to knock enemies into the next century. But many of us also play for the game story line and all the graphics and interactions with our team members and talking weaponry upgrades, etc. and for me, part of the gaming experience. I am powerful, strong and a bad ass when the remote is in my hands and I gleefully behead, roast and blast enemies to bits with a few choice cuss words mixed in for colorful commentary. BUT this group is about being decent to each other, communicating if someone steps on your toes and working it out without being an a-hole to them, and frankly kicking some ass and having fun. I live for gaming, living in futurist worlds, chomping on the bit to see what's coming around the corner and laughing my ass off at the humorous remarks characters make and having fun with my team mates. So Welcome all and bear with us while this unfolds. IF you have suggestions to make this site better ,PLEASE post and send the admins a PRIVATE message and avoid taking a fellow clan member to task on the forum. . We are all part of this Clan and we need to keep it alive and working smoothly.
