Radegast's Fury vs. Gjallarhorn
The 'Powers-that-Be' have been good to me; rewarding me handsomely for the blood that flown in my wake. I'm curious to know if there is even 1 person who agrees with or can at least understand my viewpoint. I find it kind of funny that I've literally upset/angered a couple people in the past few days bc I said I like my Rade better than my Galla. Here's my argument...
1) Both RLs are max powered 2) Galla holds 2, Rade holds 3
3) Rade has a 25% LARGER blast radius, Galla has tracking 4) Both are beautiful.
5) Both have speed reload 6) MOST IMPORTANTLY - If I use the Radegast I can still equip the Last Word, Universal Remote, or the Hard Light in the primary slot which always has a plentiful amount/supply of ammo.
You don't need to own both to share your opinion but obviously those will be the responses I give more credence to. THANKS.

EDIT 7/02 - Hello Guardians. I just finished upgrading my Titan, brought it through The Queens Bounties. ou hard-core Galla fans will be happy to know that my Galla has proven itself to me, beyond all reproach, this morning. I had difficulty capturing Skolas with my (then) level 31 Hunter using my RF. This morning I made Skolas cry like a lil' bitch with my Galla. SOMETIMES IT'S GOOD TO FIND OUT YOU WERE WRONG. I AM MUCH HAPPIER KNOWING I HAVE A SUPER-BAD-ASSED RL AS OPPOSSED TO A MEDIOCRE ONE!!! so go ahead, my beloved Trolls, start sending me you're best "I told you so!" hate-mail. I can handle it. You don't put yourself out in front of 'The 'Net' if you don't. THANKS FOR EVERYONE'S INPUT! Can't wait to read the responses to my shotgun poll.

For PvP I rolled hard launch/tripod/javelin/horseshoes And yes I have gally and truth as well. Just prefer the radegast over everything else

In my experience with pvp the RF is the way to go. While the gally is a better rocket launcher its exotic status is not used as much in pvp. For pvp it stands to reason that the gun you use the most should be the exotic because the most benefit would be had. So the RF not using your exotic slot frees up your primary's for exotic status which improves your play more than using your exotic only when heavy comes out. The roles on the RF should have grenades and horseshoes and either clown or tripod.

1 ReplyI seen some post this already.. But I will say it similar... The Horn is by far the best Heavy in the game.... So naturally it's great to equip it in whatever your playing. As it is an Exotic, it's great that most of the good Burn primary's and special weapons are naturally Legendary's. Fatebringer and a whole slew of Legendary's and the Gjallarhorn are what I mainly use myself, I experiment with Scout and Auto Rifles also. But Radegasts Fury is an incredible launcher with great potential also, I mean you can get an Arc RF with Grenades and Horsehoes, Tripod, Javelin or Flared Magwell, that's a killer launcher for a legendary to be honest... I love the Radegasts Fury mainly for the uses of My Primary and Special Weapon Exotics, like the Last Word, Vex Mythoclast and Queenbreakers Bow, iceBreaker, those are mainly what I use besides the Gjallarhorn in many modes... But all in All... The Fury has lots of potential and can be incredible versatile in many situations, it's natural velocity and blast radius is great already, so it's a good fit if you like to try other Exotics out...

Gjallarhorn is actually very good in crucible because of it's not listed proximity detonation perk. Couple this with it's tracking and wolfpack rounds and it's arguably the 2nd best crucible rocket launcher after Truth. Also you don't have to "waste" your exotic slot on a heavy in crucible as you can just change weapons before you pick up heavy and then change back after you use it.

Pve gjallarhorn Pvp radegast's fury/ ash factory I have all of them and I use the ash factory when not using the truth

The fury is great, but no matter how you roll it, it will never do to a single target what the G-horn can do.

Pve: no contest. Gally. Pvp: I will never waste my exotic slot on a heavy, so no gally. Hope this shows my opinion.

Personal opinion: Pve: ghorn is the best rl, bar none. This is convenient since most primaries and specials with burns are legendaries anyway, so it really costs nothing to have this equipped. PvP: more rational argument capable but I've found truth to be the best here. Very fast rocket and maxed out blast radius, plus the "aggressive" tracking of truth is head and shoulders above normal tracking of other launchers. Coupled with proximity det its rare to miss. Unfortunately, since exotic primaries and specials are more useful here (especially since burns don't really matter) I found myself switching to truth for heavy drops: on 360 this could sometimes take as much as 15 seconds waiting for the screen to load and begging to be killed by a super or rocket. That's until I got my rade fury with proximity det, tripod, and javelin. Its basically a baby truth, minus tracking and is, frankly, good enough I don't even bother trying to switch over

2 RepliesGjallarhorn is better in every way. Blast radius may be smaller, but the WP rounds make up for it. It still kills groups just as good if not better. I say better because well, I have seen it clear groups better. Gally has a hidden proximity perk on it as well plus the tracking making it everything other rockets can offer plus more. Using other rockets is just nice because you can use your exotic slot elsewhere.

I think its better option than Gjallahorn because you can use other exotics. Heavy ammo come two or three times per match so its better to use primary or special exotic.

I always thought that the best weapon in Destiny was the Gjallarhorn until I got it. I agree to some extent with You. For Me the Gjallarhorn is very situational, it can melt bosses but its Wolfpack rounds and low tracking sometimes are a disadvantage especially when shooting at enemies from the distance while surrounded closely by swarms of enemies.
