Forgive my ignorance, but I just came across this and don't know what to make of it just yet. I could see gamers using it in Destiny Crucible.
What do you guys think? Would you buy the Hipshotdot? Apparently they sell is at Gamestop.

This method would be pointless in destiny cause guns account for a small percentage since the traveler will be bestowing us with powers! What is a black dot gonna do against a nova bomb, or a blade dancer?? Or a light grenade that turns you into a container of slim jims!
-
The dot is a complete waste of money, technically this is cheating but everyone can buy it from gamestop which then it isn't cheating. This won't help you whatsoever in any CoD game. If you've been a CoD player for years, you should probably realize that not aiming down sights doesn't always shoot down the middle of the crosshairs, the bullets bounce all around the screen. Point is if you buy this you just wasted money for something that won't help you whatsoever. On the other hand this might help you if your a halo player.
-
Why make shooters easier? The learning curve is low enough already...
-
Use to do this all the time in Halo 2, primarily whenever I was playing with the blind skull.
-
There's still bullet spread when firing from the hip? The bullets already are contained within the reticule anyway, hipfire or not. The ONLY time this would be helpful is getting hit by that EMP grenade in CoD anyway, and if you can't aim for the middle of the screen already, you wouldn't be good enough to warrant purchasing something like this anyway.
-
I can see the point, but the fact that anybody would buy this overpriced garbage boggles my mind.
-
I wouldn't buy it, but if I sucked then yeah. Lol
-
Well it says Alays cheat at the end Anyway yeah this is 4 scrubs
-
Who the -blam!- Necro'd this retarded shit?
-
Holy shit you have to be bad and brian damaged to even consider this because you could get 3 hole binder hole protector stickers for so much cheaper and use those.
-
Its probably more annoying then helpful but definitely not cheating as it is available to everyone. Everybody is free to put a dot on their screen if they think it's help. Otherwise it could be considered cheating e.g. using a TV with a low input lag. I think it's a pointless discussion anyway as there will be nobody to control the screens, controllers, etc. of the players. I don't give a damn if players decorate there whole screen with diodes and colors, buy controllers with extra buttons, etc. They will get shot anyway.
-
THIS WOULD MAKE QUICKSCOPING THE EASIEST DAMN THING EVER
-
It's no more cheating than those controllers with the extra buttons.
-
It's not cheating, just a really shitty way to win. And this is irrelevant in Destiny because all guns have a red dot sight.
-
Why is this on the Destiny forums??
-
The only way I can find this cheating is if they're quick scoping it would make really easy
-
Cheating? no Stealing money from desperate people? yes The game mechanics of most games make hip firing completely useless unless it's up close and personal. If they were dropping people across the map by it, then it may be considered a cheat, but there is no way it can do anything to affect the way the games work.
-
The only problem with this logic is that devs intentionally decrease the accuracy of hip fire shots so that they will land anywhere within the crosshairs. Having an RDS when you hip firing isn't going to help you at all if the bullets don't go where the RDS is. This is a fcking scam
-
I don't think it's cheating really. A long as a game has crosshairs it wouldn't do shit unless you're a major idiot. Adding that stupid little dot won't increase your accuracy, it'll just add an annoying light and line in the middle of your crosshairs, which already do the same thing better. If you think this will help, you must REALLY suck at FPS games.
-
If you actually need one of these you're bad at shooters.
-
Yes. In the case where you aren't effected by EMP, or it allows for a second attachment without losing the red dot sight, it is cheating.
-
It's more pathetic than cheating...
-
That made me laugh
-
the fact that you put quotes from other dorks just shows how much butthurt you have
-
It's neither one... It just means the scrub using it is reallly -blam!-ing bad...
