Chat Groups

Okay so I have been messing around with this an app called GroupMe. Some of you may have heard of it before now. I have used this app for a couple of years while working for Gamestop and BestBuy in their Video game departments. We would use this app in order to communicate efficiently with the entire gaming workforce about gaming related news ans such. Until we have an official Grimguard mobile app I feel that it could provide a solution to our communicating while playing destiny. Here is a list of features for this app: *Available on Android, IOS, Windows, SMS (those without smart phones U.S. only) and Web (for those who don't have access to their phone) *Completely free unless you like premium emojis and decide to purchase them (your network carrier's standard text message and data rates may apply) * Instantly have a private conversation with a specific clan member if you so choose within the app (just like your traditional text message system but better) *Real-time updates on web version *Create a unique nickname per group (Ex: I may be SuperAgentCT PS4 within the GRIMGUARD PS4 group but I could be SuperAgentCT X1 within the GRIMGUARD XBOX ONE group) *Choose the notifications you want, mute certain groups or certain people, hopefully the second example won't be necessary if all are respectful:) One downside to the app is that groups are limited to only 50 members but I hope to bypass that cap by creating groups for each platform in order to reduce clutter within one group and further organize the clan members based on the platform they choose to play Destiny on. This will allow our clan to stretch out the usefulness of this app given that we already have 50+ members. In addition by having platforms in separate groups I feel that it would be easier on our clanmates to meet other members of the same platform and form fire-teams/raid squads/crucible teams efficiently. Furthermore I also hope to overcome the 50 member cap by creating a network of admins, assigned to a particular platform group. For Example, if KRITICAL was going to play on Xbox 360 maybe he would oversee the Grimguard Xbox 360 group. More over when information would need to be spread quickly through out the entire clan outside of Bungie.net a group for just Admins would be created so that admins could disperse that information to there specific platform members. Feel free to provide feedback on this Guardians. With exactly a month left until the release it would be nice to figure out our communication system at least until we have an official Grimguard mobile app:) Now Guardians, go forth and download the app or create a web account if you have not already done so. Then set up an account if you are new user. You are required t have a first and last name during account setup (Ex: SuperAgentCT PS4). You can make your account username whatever you would like but the format I recommend is to use your PSN ID/Gamertag (SuperAgentCT) as your first name and your platform (X360, X1, PS4, PS3) as your last name as this will be your default name within the group you join. If not then no problem you will just have to change your nickname. Existing GroupMe users can change their nickname to the recommended format once they are in a group.
