the Obvious, or the Not So: Group Function

Let me preface this with, I am terrible at researching things that are not of a technical nature. And also I'm a lazy bugger at times. So, I suppose the question that keeps teasing my noggin is what next? I'm in the group! Yay! But now what? Is there something I should sign up for, some place else I should join? Is there a way I can immerse myself further into our awesome group? I find myself on two paths of inquiry here. Firstly, does simply joining the group on the app make me apart of the "clan"? I know Vital or someone is putting together a sweet website that will likely be a beacon of knowledge, but in the meantime can I do more than I have done? Secondly, what is the low down on how this will all work in game? I know we can friend each other to form fire teams, but will Bungie give us more than that? I think it would be pretty sweet if we had a clan lobby kind of thing. Like if I want to run a strike but don't have a fire team ready, I just drop a flag in the clan lobby and away we go. Or, to me, even better, drop in free roam close to clan members would be sweet. And are we going to get our own emblem made for the clan we can use? Because that would rock my team building socks! Well anyway, I will never be very good at this forum posting stuff. Flame Away!
