Forgive my ignorance, but I just came across this and don't know what to make of it just yet. I could see gamers using it in Destiny Crucible.
What do you guys think? Would you buy the Hipshotdot? Apparently they sell is at Gamestop.

It's neither one... It just means the scrub using it is reallly -blam!-ing bad...
-
I don't really see how that helps, it's not really cheating. More so just being bad and taking the game too seriously.
-
lol Back when I played Gears of War in 2006, I put blu-tack in the centre of my TV screen to make sniping easier.
-
Not really cheating, But developers could release a patch in about 10 minutes that would make that thing obsolete. They will do that if it catches on. Otherwise no, not cheating. Anyone could put a dot on their screen
-
The middle of the screen doesn't ever move. Neither does the dot.
-
This is pathetic
-
Only a thumbless idiot needs one of these.
-
So it's for peasants who don't know where the middle of their screen is? No, it's not cheating.
-
Edited by RC32: 8/21/2014 5:49:30 PMFor people who don't know where the middle of their screen is? Lolno.
-
It's not cheating but it is a cheap tactic regardless of the game
-
I don't see how that could be useful when you have iron sights and a crosshair. The bullets spray when you blind fire anyhow. The only game I can see this being useful in is Gears.
-
It's not cheating, but it's really corny. It isn't all that serious
-
This is Awesome! I bought two of these. Attached them to the mirror in my bathroom - now i am looking like a Terminator while toothbrushing!!!!
-
This isn't cheating. Cheating would be something like hacking the game so you're immortal, have infinite ammo, or an aimbot. Anyone who considers using an outside accessory to be cheating is a madbad who needs to stop being such a tool. With that said, anyone who needs an accessory like this to perform well is a casual scrub who needs to get good.
-
Lmao, you can do that with scotch tape and most games let you alter the colour of your crosshair as well. Next up a 7.1 Headset and U-HD tv is cheating becouse some people can't afford it....
-
Who cares. Crucible sucked
-
No its not cheating They just suck and have to use that

Edited by ManBearPigIets: 8/21/2014 6:16:50 AMIt's not like it actually helps, it's like playing with the blind skull on, you still fire from the same place every time it's just a matter of if you're used to it or not, putting something on your screen doesn't change that. Hell, in a lot of games it would actually hurt, take battlefield, the laser sight points towards where the gun is actually pointing, and moves around, same with iron sights etc., if you tried to use a static dot where it would be when you are standing still it would not be where you should actually be aiming unless you were standing perfectly still.

Edited by Masshole: 8/21/2014 6:45:52 AMMaybe the reason I don't find it cheating is because I'm not -blam!-ing blind. It's not that hard to know where the -blam!-ing center of your crosshair is, nor the center of the -blam!-ing scope/sight. It offers a zero percent improvement to doing well in a FPS game. Is it cheating? No, not by any means. Is it a waste of money? You bet your goddamn ass it is. So, for the -blam!-ers who wasted their money, have fun getting it back. For the people who complain that it is cheating, get some -blam!-ing common sense and make fun of people who actually use that shit, because it offers no benefit.
-
Lame.
-
Not sure how this is cheating.. 2 pieces of string, and a few pieces of tape do the exact same thing..
-
If using this is considered cheating, then so is using a headset. It's not cheating.
-
Its a dot....in the middle of your screen, any moron with a button and bluetac can do that, I don't see this cheating, just a crutch...or I guess a handicap. *sips tea* Anyone can do it.
-
No not realy. It does not modify or change the gameplay. People do this with markers anyway, espesily when doing Halo on LASO
-
It's not cheating, but as a product that is just pathetic.
