This clan exists for all skill levels of gaming. The most important thing for this clan is teamwork. This is true for both PvP and PvE gameplay. While there is not a skill level requirement, we strive to help our members become better gamers that adds to the overall experience and enjoyment of the clan. The members of this clan tend to fall into a little "older" age range. So respect, maturity, a good sense of humor, and a tolerance to foul language is must. We will be pretty open regarding membership. However, we will be just as open about removing members who are abusive or offensive in anyway, unwilling to teach or help fellow clanmates, or are divisive within the group.

Thoughts on weapons and armor

Just wanted to write a post about weapons and armor.... What are you guys using? What do you really like/hate? What weapon or piece of armor is alluding you? How do you guys feel about the infusion system and do you miss any of the old weapons? -TMMargosiaN1983

  • Raid pulse, shotgun, and machine gun, suros 2.0, spindle, and touch of malice. As far as the year one weapons you mentioned, I'm glad they didn't bring them forward. It was too easy to abuse distance gaps and bullet sponges with the icebreaker and gjally respectively, although I do feel your necrochasm pain. Best guess on the nerf is for players that still own destiny just not TTK. Light level is a mixed bag for me; yes it's nice that everything matters, but now everything matters. It discourages people from trying new weapons because they'll bring down your light level. Also, you have to consider more closely which weapons to infuse, since you have only so many resources to put towards infusion. Overall though, it's better than re-roll8ng as that could be manipulated to an almost unfair advantage.

I like that the light actually matters now and is not just some secondary stat that is tied into your armor. My current favorites are pretty much all of the new scout rifles ( I wish there was a Year Two MIDA), most of the raid weapons are sweet, in particular I really like the machine gun and the rocket launcher (mine effectively replaced my Truth, it has tracking, javelin, and is just bad ass), also I think the swords, both Legendary and Exotic are pretty cool. I do not like what they have done to The Last Word, it feels severely underpowered, the shotguns in general feel weaker in PvE, but somehow I still get shit from in PvP from what seems like 10 yards away! Also most of the new snipers are pretty nice, the 1000 yard stare has taken the spot of the LDR and I got a pretty cool Omolon one from the Gunsmith that is solar. Also I think the Tao Yuan or whatever it is called is good. The only Year One exotic I am missing is the 4th Horseman, and Destiny just doesn't want me to have it apparently! I have had decent luck with the Three Of Coins, but I seem to ALWAYS get either a Primary, Chest, or Helmet engram. I have yet to receive a Special weapon exotic engram.....so I have no thoughts on the new Invective, Telesto, or the Hereafter. And still no Spindle for me.

I am almost starting to believe that each of us has our own loot table. For instance, I can't get a supercell or a jade rabbit to drop. However, I've had 3 suros, 3 hawkmoon, and 4 monte carlos. TM is struggling with special weapon, but I'm not. In addition, i have had 5 Stag helmets, 3 Light beyond Nemesis, and nothing else to drop from a helmet roll on my warlock. For chest pieces, it's only been Voidfang's and starfires with 1 single of the new chest this year. It's like I keep getting the same things over and over and over. It's drops that TM isn't getting and needs (minus the stag) and vice versa. I see a ton of rabbits and supercells running around.

      • I think the infusion system was a good new direction to go for the game. No longer is a weapon stuck at a certain pre-ordained max level, and we can now raise whatever we want depending how much we like said weapon. Overall out of the weapons I have so far I feel that the Sleeper Simulant, the new Suros Regime, Hawkmoon, raid machine gun/rocket launcher, the Spindle and the 1000 yard stare are dominant. Also some of the strike specific weapons are really cool ( the heavy machine gun that looks like a Fallen weapon, the auto rifle that looks a Fallen weapon, the Imago Loop, and Darkblade's Spite) are good too. I really wish that they would have brought Nechrochasm and Hardlight into Year Two, especially considering they just buffed those two weapons right before TTK dropped. So stupid. I just barely got a Crux in early September, and I would like to be able to use it more in the Crucible, but no. It was also so stupid to nerf Gjallarhorn, Black Hammer, and Icebreaker. We are not even using those weapons anymore because of all of the new ones.....so why in the hell did they even need a nerf??? Same thing with Thorn, although I am glad it is no longer the go-to weapon in the Crucible! Also the MIDA Multi-Tool and, in my opinion Pocket Infinity would have been cool to have useful in Year Two. As far as armor goes I have gotten the Titan helmet the Taikonaut, the warlock helmet the Stag, the hunter Sealed Ahamkara gauntlets, and the new warlock gauntlets. Other than that I haven't gotten any of the new stuff other than Year Two versions of Obsidian Mind, Light Beyond Nemesis, Claws of Ahamkara, Crest of Alpha Lupi, Helm of Saint 14, Helm of Inmost Light, the hunter Ahamkara gauntlets(spine?), and the Celestial Nighthawk. Something is up with our favorite blue bastard the Cryptarch because the 1st time Xur came around I bought 6 helmet engrams. I got 3 Light Beyond Nemesis, 2 Celestial Nighthawks, and a Helm of Inmost Light......a few days later I had 3 helmet exotic engrams drop while farming Draksis and......I got 2 more Celestials, and another damn Light Beyond! Bungie said they made it to where you have a higher % of getting something that you don't have already but I have not seen this to be true. The only brand new exotics that I have received is the Zhalo Supercell, which I actually like. For those who don't know it is arc and chains lightning, kind of like a mini Thunderlord. Let us know what your experiences have been so far! -TMMargosiaN1983
