How can i get legendaries and exotics without dlc
IDK how other than legendaries from vendors and thats boring and grinding levels

The best way to get legendaries and exotics is through the weekly nightfall strike (as long as it's a vanilla strike) the second best way is to go on destiny lfg and find a random group to run Vault of glass.

You can earn Exotics and Legendaries through the Weekly Nightfall Strike (assuming it is a non-DLC strike) and earn Strange Coins through the Weekly Heroic.
